Privacy Policy
jobmaxxer is built so your job search stays in your own Claude account. This page explains what that means, and the small amount we do collect.
The short version
- Your jobs, CV, notes and settings live in your own Claude account. We never receive them.
- This website only collects what you choose to send us, like feedback or your email.
- We don't sell your data, and we don't run ads.
- Want something deleted? Tell us through the feedback form.
Who we are
jobmaxxer is an independent project made in Dublin, Ireland ("we", "us"). We are the controller of the information this website collects. It is not made by, endorsed by or affiliated with Anthropic, the company that makes Claude.
How jobmaxxer works
jobmaxxer is a job tracker that you set up inside your own Claude account. Claude publishes it as a private page (an "artifact") on your account. We don't host the tracker and we don't run servers that store what you put into it.
Data in your tracker
Everything you add to your tracker stays with your Claude account. That includes your master CV, tailored CVs, the jobs you save, notes, application answers, writing samples, preferences and search settings. It is stored by Anthropic as part of your account and is covered by Anthropic's Privacy Policy and your Claude plan's terms. We can't see it, open it or delete it for you.
- Morning search and tailoring run on your own Claude plan. When Claude searches the web for jobs, it visits job sites the same way it would for any other request you make.
- Sharing your tracker: your tracker is private unless you share its link. Anyone you share it with can see and change your jobs.
- Optional backup: if you turn on the nightly backup during setup, a copy of your tracker data goes to a GitHub repository that you own. Keep that repository private.
What this website collects
- Feedback you send: the type of feedback, your message and, only if you add it, your email address. We use it to fix bugs, improve jobmaxxer and reply to you.
- Emails you give us to hear about new versions or the beta. We only use them for that, and every email has a way to stop getting more.
- Basic visit data: our host, Vercel, keeps standard server logs (like IP address, browser type and the page visited) to run and protect the site. If we turn on page view statistics, we use a privacy-friendly tool that counts visits without cookies and without tracking you across other sites.
Please don't put your CV, passwords or other sensitive details in a feedback message.
Why we use it
- Feedback: to fix and improve jobmaxxer, which is our legitimate interest, and to reply if you asked us to.
- Update emails: only with your consent. You can withdraw it at any time.
- Server logs: to keep the site running and secure, which is our legitimate interest.
Cookies
This website doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. The only cookie it sets is a sign-in cookie for the site's owner.
Who we share it with
We don't sell or rent your information. We only share it with the services we use to run the site, and only as much as they need:
- Vercel, which hosts this website.
- Neon, which stores feedback messages.
- GitHub, which hosts the jobmaxxer code.
We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety of people or the site.
How long we keep it
We keep feedback and emails for as long as jobmaxxer is running, or until you ask us to delete them. Server logs are kept by Vercel for a short time under its own policy.
Your choices
You can ask us to see, correct or delete anything you sent through this website. You can also object to how we use it, ask us to limit it, or ask for a copy to take elsewhere. Ask through the feedback form (leave your email so we can reply) and we'll get back to you within 30 days. For data in your tracker, delete it from the tracker itself or from your Claude account.
If you're not happy with how we handled something, you can complain to Ireland's Data Protection Commission or the data protection authority where you live.
Age
jobmaxxer is meant for people 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone younger.
Where your data is stored
Some of the services above store data in the United States. When information leaves the EU, we rely on the safeguards those providers offer for it, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date below. If a change is big, we'll say so on the site.
